(NEW ORLEANS) - The Packers, sparked by a second-half passing attack, defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 20-13 Saturday night. The Packers came up with two touchdowns, both on passes, in the third quarter to provide them with the victory in the first pro football game here in 12 years. Lamar McHan tossed for the first touchdown, a 22-yarder to Max McGee. at the start of the period. Paul Hornung flipped 10 yards to Boyd Dowler for the other touchdown. Pittsburgh's lone touchdown came in the last quarter on John Henry Johnson's four-yard plunge. Johnson's running and Bobby Layne's passing sparked the 80-yard drive. The teams traded field goals in the first half. Hornung kicked a pair for the victors while Bert Rechichar booted two for the Steelers, one a 42-yarder. Hornung added two more points on extra point kicks. Layne kicked the Steelers' point after touchdown.
