(GREEN BAY) - The Packers remain the only undefeated team of the exhibition season after beating the Cardinals for their fourth straight win. The Packers, guided in the first half by Lamar McHan and Bart Starr in the second half, piled up five touchdowns and five extra points with a running and passing attack that netted a total of 415 yards. McHan rushing for one touchdown and passing for two more, gave Green Bay a 21-7 halftime lead. In the third quarter, the Cardinals picked up one score before Starr led the Packers on to another pair of touchdowns. The Packer rookies turned in performances Lombardi indicated he would accept, including Willie Wood, whose 45-yard punt return to set up Green Bay's fifth score. Lombardi said other rookies who looked good included Moore, Dick Pesonen and Don Brown.
