(LOS ANGELES) - Bart Starr threw three touchdown passes to Max McGee to pace the Green Bay Packers to a come-from behind 31-14 win over the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams delighted the crowd of 52,337 by grabbing a halftime lead of 14-10. But in the third quarter, Jim Taylor, who had been held to 23 yards in the first half, broke through the Ram line on a draw play and bobbed and weaved 40 yards to a touchdown. Jerry Kramer's conversion put the Packers out in front 17-14 and the Rams seemed to fall apart after that. Green Bay opened the scoring in the first period on a 25-yard pass from Starr to McGee, who fooled the Ram defenders all afternoon. Carver Shannon took the ensuing kickoff on a 55-yard run back after he appeared to have been stopped in a pileup on the Ram 22. He was finally run out of bounds on the Packers' 39-yard line and nine plays later Dick Bass went over from the three for a touchdown. The Rams went out in front 14-7 midway in the second quarter when Roman Gabriel engineered a 74-yard, nine-play touchdown march that included a 43-yard pass to Ben Wilson. Gabriel rammed the ball over himself from the one-yard line. Kramer kicked a 40-yard field goal to end the first half scoring. After Taylor's touchdown run in the third quarter, Starr hit McGee with a 16-yard six-pointer, and in the fourth quarter connected to McGee on a 13-yard touchdown play. In the fourth quarter, the Rams' Eddie Meador blocked a Kramer field goal attempt from the 46-yard line, but Packer Jim Ringo recovered the free ball on the Ram 25. Taylor bounced up the middle for 12 yards and then Starr threw his 13-yarder to McGee.
