Namath, chosen the outstanding player, completed 17 of 28 passes for 206 yards and directed a steady attack that dominated the NFL champions after the Jets' defense had intercepted Colts quarterback Earl Morrall three times in the first half. The Jets had 337 total yards, including 121 rushing yards by Matt Snell. Johnny Unitas, who had missed most of the season with a sore elbow, came off the bench and led Baltimore to its only touchdown late in the fourth quarter after New York led 16-0.

1967 CFL CHAMPIONSHIP (December 10 at Anaheim - 8,730)
ORLANDO BULLDOGS 38, ORANGE COUNTY RAMBLERS 14 - Don Jonas threw five TD passes to pace Orlando to the CFL title. Jonas riddled an Orange county defense that had surrendered only four touchdown passes in 14 games going into the playoff. Jonas tossed four of his scoring passes in the first half. Orlando scored 17 points in the first minutes, 26 seconds

Feb 4 - CFL merged with Professional Football League of America. Des Moines, Chicago, Omaha, Huntsville, Oklahoma City, Little Rock, Joliet and Quad Cities joined 12 existing CFL franchises
March 3 - Indianapolis and Detroit were granted franchises. Danny Hill replaced Sol Rosen as commissioner.
April 4 - Wheeling withdrew from the CFL. Joliet had also withdrawn from the league by this time
April 5 - Charleston was suspended. Montreal withdrew. Hartford was expelled. Wheeling was re-admitted, leaving the league with 20 teams
May 27 - League alignment for 1969 was announced. Charleston was re-admitted. Atlantic Division (Orlando Panthers, Norfolk Neptunes, Alabama (Huntsville) Hawks, Wheeling Ironmen, Detroit Arrows, Charleston Rockets) Central (Indianapolis Capitols, Chicago Owls, Quad Cities Raiders, Iowa, Omaha Mustangs, Oklahoma City Plainsmen and Arkansas (Little Rock) Diamonds) and Pacific Division (Orange County Ramblers, Seattle Rangers, Sacramento Capitols, Spokane Shockers (formerly Victoria Steelers), Portland). San Jose and Eugene would be inactive in 1968
